ADMIN: Group overview

Your directory can have an unlimited number of Groups.

To create a group:

  1. Go to the Admin tab
  2. Select Add Group
  3. Click Create a Group
  4. Type the group name (i.e., Executive Committee)
  5. Type the group description (this can also be added later)
  6. Click Save

When the group profile opens, you can add a description and upload a photo.

To add a member to a group:

  1. Click Add Member to Group
  2. Type the member’s name in the search field
  3. Select the member
  4. Click Save

A Title field is available for each group member (i.e., Chairman, Treasurer, etc.).
Administrators and Group Editors can add titles.

Ordering Group Members

Members appear in groups in the order they were added. Display order can be changed by administrators and group editors.

  • Each profile is assigned an order number by tens: the first profile is 10, the second 20, the third 30.
  • When a new profile is added, it appears last.

In the picture below, Jason Anderson was added to the committee. He appears last because he was the most recent person to be added.

To move him between Arthur Adams and Landon Martin, change his Order number to 11 (or any number that falls between their numbers of 10 and 20).

Click Update, and he is moved into position and all members are assigned new order numbers of 10, 20, 30, etc.

To move someone to the first position, change their order number to any number less than 10.

To sort alphabetically, give all profiles the same order number. Click update, and they will appear in alphabetical order with new order numbers of 10, 20, 30, etc.

Group Editors:
Administrators can share the responsibility of updating groups by making members Group Editors. For example, the Choir Director could be the Group Editor for the Choir. Group Editors can add or remove group members, and edit the group description, photo, and member titles.

To make a member a Group Editor:

  1. Open the Group profile
  2. Find the member to have editor privileges
  3. Locate Editor under their profile
  4. Choose Yes from the pull down menu
  5. Click Update
